E.l.f. Cosmetics Is Giving Us an Extra 30 Seconds of ‘The White Lotus’

A crossover we never knew we needed — until now.

With only a few days left until the 2023 Rihanna concert Super Bowl, there’s already a whole lot about the event to look forward to. Sure, there’s the excitement of seeing football’s most-talked about teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, battle it out and the aforementioned, highly anticipated half-time performance. But there are also some sure-to-be iconic commercials we already can’t wait to watch.

Take, for example, E.l.f. Cosmetics’ first-ever TV advertisement in the brand’s 19-year history. For the occasion, the beloved beauty brand tapped a special guest from the HBO cult comedy-drama series “The White Lotus,” as well as the show runner behind it.

On Thursday, E.l.f. released a teaser for the spot, which features none other than Jennifer Coolidge, scripted by Mike White, the creative mind behind the dark, opulent world of “The White Lotus.” The 45-second clip shows Coolidge applying the brand’s fan-favorite Power Grip Primer, unveiling a dewy and “dolphin-like” complexion after using the product from a gift box – alluding to something…sticky.

The E.l.f. x “The White Lotus” ad will run a full 30-second clip and air in the second quarter of the Super Bowl. Along with the Sunday commercial, fans will also be able to shop the limited-edition Dolphin Face Bundle priced at $33 online, which includes three of the hydrating Holy Grails: the Power Grip Primer, Halo Glow Liquid Filter and O FACE Satin Lipstick.
